thesis topic help-SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE

hi eveyone,
this is prachi nimgaonkar. m a student of 4th yr architecture..i have to submit my thesis topic..n i have keen intrest in "sustainable architecture". i have given a thought to sm building typologies- 1) cancer research institute
2)digital art centre.
will u guys plz help me out to select an appropriate building for d design part ..also comment on d buildings mentioned above.

digital art centre - project the images onto trees and rocks

cancer research center- it's thesis right? don't get bogged down with too big a program if your idea is sustainability rather than medical facilities...just my opinion...maybe a cancer resource library...?


seriously both are good ideas but when you dive into thesis you will be pushed and contorted in several directions by crits telling you to follow one strong idea...you will have your hands full, most likely, with the programming of a cancer research center and will more than likely not get the chance to delve into the issues on sustainability that you wish to uncover. keep your program small. of the two, i'd stick with the digital art center. good luck

I stongly feel that the topics you had chosen for sustainable architecture is little complex.
i feel a resort, an housing project or any instituition,rural school etc would be apt for sustainable architecture.
as i strongly feel sustainbilility has to do with socio-economic reasoning.
it shoud be worked with locally available Natural ,materials.
