The position:

A medium-sized development company is rapidly expanding, and is looking for an architect with a focus on commercial development as well as residential projects ranging from single family subdivisions, to multi-family and senior living communities. Some travel is required, however company provides transportation on private planes, so overnight stays are minimal.

Job Description:


Perform specific project building design and development tasks, including programming, reports, drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.

Respond to questions and comments, review contractor submittals, and provide clarifications during construction.

Adhere to accepted industry and company standards.

Plan, schedule, conduct, coordinate and direct the development of architectural project requirements.

Review and understand drawings prepared by other disciplines and communicate with those disciplines to ensure project documents are completely coordinated.

When assigned, supervise, coordinate, and review the work of other architects and CAD technicians.

Qualifications/Experience Highlights:

Accredited degree in Architecture (B.S. or BARCH)

Prefer NCARB Registration

5 years minimum experience with an architectural firm designing buildings and producing contract documents

Licensed Architect willing to become licensed in multiple states as required

A thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry, including Federal, State, and local laws and regulations that pertain to the industry

The ability to develop functional requirements and project-design criteria for wide variety of building types and design complexities, with ability to work in all phases of a project’s development including large and/or complex projects

Willingness to contribute to a winning team and do whatever is necessary to get the projects done!

Limited travel as required to meet training and project requirements
