I tried that site abd they want money before anyone can tell me if they can help me. Thank you for your reply, any other ideas are welcome.

Moderator note: There is some fundamental confusion in that statement. GreatBuildings.com does not seek payment for general information.

Careful with all of the Case Study Houses re: building them per today's energy codes. These houses were designed before the oil shortages in the 70's changed the enrgy performance requirements in California ("Title 24 Codes"), as well as many other states. Chances are that you will not be able to build an exact replica of this masterwork, but a good team of professionals should be able to realize much of it by super-insulating the home wherever possible and using high-performance glazing.

You picked a fabulous house to be interested in -- a full-size replica of it was built at the Tempoary Contemporary Museum in LA for a Case Study House Exhibition several years ago. It's a classic!

Are you located in So Cal?
