Hi
Just to let you know that Im new to the group. I am an architectural photographer based in the UK. My particular interest is in the historic environment and building conservation. I recently completed my thesis on Genius Loci in Architecture. I have a website and several thousand images with an online stock agency. You can see my style of work here:

Hi there,
Probably not as many prospects as a fully qualified architect! There are so many routes to architectural photography it is difficult to say. Commercial advertising, book publishing, stock photography, 3d modelling and composite imagery. I have taken the specialist route and work mainly with historic architecture and regeneration. One of my specialities is to work with buildings which are to be demolished. I create a swatch of information from the existing site to help inform the new development. A new development has a better chance of survival when informed with as many nutrients as possible from past developments.
As an architectural student you could start by building up an interesting collection of architectural imagery and develop it from there. Use the best equipment that you can afford.

| hi, thanks for tina's photoes, but they are too short to show the details, anyway, they can give me the direct to find them, touring always is better than looking. |
