School changes! this is a real post!

Hello to all parents! I am writing to you because of the recent changes proposed to the Eugene 4J school district. I am a student at the U o O, and I'm writing a report for one of my journalism classes about these proposed changes. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion about the changes being made. Specifically speaking mostly about elementary schools. Topics include: changes to make schools enroll 300-500 students. Merging or closing some alternative or neighborhood schools is a big concern. Also, grouping ELL students or special education students together in smaller elementary schools was in the proposal. How do you as parents feel about these changes? I would really love it if anyone could reply! I'm trying to get some feedback for my story. Thank you!
