Hi, I haven't posted here before but it looks like a great forum and maybe somebody can give me some ideas.
My girls (10 and 12) are gone for the summer and we are re-decorating their rooms while they are gone. Tiff (the 12 year old) wants her room to be hot pink and lime green and Britt wants hers to be baby blue and lime green.
Not my idea of great color combos, but whatever.
Anyway, I want to do something cool on the walls, like hot pink walls with a big lime green stripe or something like that. But I don't know how the stripe should be. Should it be just one stripe at the same level all the way around the room? Or have angles? Or what? And how wide?
Then I was thinking about blue walls with different sized green polka dots for Britt's room, but I don't know how to paint polka dots. I can't imagine taping them and getting a good circle, and I've always had trouble with stencils because the paint leaks under them.
Any advice/ideas appreciated!!! |

Ahh, a visual dilemma. What you need to do is take a photo of your walls/room, print it out as large as you can. You then draw your ideas on the printed out pics.
This will give you a better idea of visualisation. You could goto the effort of using a package to design your wall, but this is the easiest and simplest way, other than doing it to the wall directly.
Hope this helps _________________ "The city is not a tree, it is a landscape" -Christopher Alexander |
