This position will be involved in research, definition and implementation of flows and tools to help create the next generation northbridge and southbridge chips. You’ll work in a dynamic, high-pressure consumer oriented environment where both time to market and quality are extremely important. You’ll work with some of the top design and DV people in the valley to define and implement methodologies to ensure success.

The ideal candidate will have CAD as well as design or DV experience in a verilog ASIC methodology. You will need to be able to work closely with the design teams, helping get chips out the door while looking for ways to improve the design process.

Apple VLSI CAD is looking for a senior level CAD engineer with over 7 years experience familiar with front end design and verification tools as well as DM environments. Specific tools include VCS, Vera, Assertions, VerilogXL, Design Compiler, Verplex, and perforce. An ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the design flow required to build complex ASIC designs. This candidate is expected to define and implement process improvements for the Apple IC design and verification teams as well as set technical direction for CAD projects and infrastructure.

Top-Level Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with EDA tools, DV, and design methodologies
- Extensive perl script programming experience
- Ability to analyze, define, and implement fixes for a wide variety of issues
- Experience with VCS, Vera, DC
- Experience with Data Management environment (perforce)
- Good leadership and communication skills
