hello guys,
i'm new here so i'll throw in a brief intro about me.
i'm 32 years old 3D artist, mostly doing special fx, design visualisation, games, motion gfx, etc. i've been doing design for almost 9 years. i'm a freelancer but thinking of consolidating group of friends to open up design company in the future. i've done a few arc.viz for friends and amateur jobs, so the price is not really on pro level charges.
ok now thats done, i need you guys' expert opinion on architectural visualisation jobs pricing. arc.viz is new to me and i'm a stranger here, so if i breached some ethics, pls forgive me.
recently i got a few potential arc.viz jobs - walkthrough, flybys, still renderings, etc. i'm not sure how to quote for price! i have some ideas on how much a 1mins 3d animation would cost. it all depend on complexities and visual quality. i need to know how much each criteria affects pricing, and whether stills, flybys, walkthrough, has differences.
i've compiled some of the things i might expect to do or requests from clients:
- flybys
- walkthrough
- light studies
- shadow studies
- sunlight studies
- scenery or landscape
- interior finishing/furnishing
- exterior texturing
i hope u guys can give some ideas on how to charge all these. i'm thinking of per hour basis on modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering. or perhaps i should charge per item depending on complexities. btw, i live in malaysia but i can try to reason out pricing on US dollars etc.
THANKS in advance! _________________ :: zerobyte :: |
