modular house design - indoor outdoor house

Hello, I have a question and hopefully someone outthere has an answer

I am planning to build a home on the island of Margarita and have been looking at various styles of construction as well as at the use most people on the island give the various rooms in their homes, based on this (and fond memories of a house in St. Vincent where the pool was part of the whole house) I have been looking for someone willing to design a house made up of three (or so) "buildings with small open yards or patios between these. Of course walkways - covered or not - would be necessary between these.

The idea behind this is not to build "enclosed spaces" or rooms that will never be used as 90% of the time people end up actually living "outside". I have been looking for homes with this design but have been unable to find any! ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated.
