Hi,

We at olosurfer have been developing and surfing these wooden surfboards for over twelve years. They are made using Wood and Epoxy only. and the designs can be finished using oils or tree resin based spar varnishes rather than resin.

The main idea behind these plans is to go surfing, not just to hang something beautiful but unsurfable on the wall. . .Beware of cheap imitations etc.

The designs have been developed in a low tech workshop following the 'small is beautiful' philosophical guidelines as set out by Schumacher... Tools are cheaply available and bricks are used as clamps.

These boards have stood the test of time and lots of waves, unlike some board plan selling merchants who have gone into business selling plans after building only one prototype. . .we are currently building number 82 called the Future Primitive pipeline model.

Ther is a (so far six part) series at Youtube. . [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acZzSseNzdw['url] this part is called "Don't ask me why I drill a hole"

And in case you do want to ask. . Roy is drilling the hole because otherwise he would be sealing the board.
With the changes of temperature the board undergoes pressure changes This hole is where the vent will be located later. .

We have offset our own boardbuilding by planting a dozen Paulownia trees in our front yard, and we sell hand made organic surf wax as well as recipes for this lovely product so that others can join the green revolution and market the organic wax in their own area. . .

Please visit http://www.olosurfer.com these plans will be worth your while to get into the surf on your own board
