Many people know core is the support material of laminated flooring. And it is core that most content and cost of the product is core. But only a few people know the main parameters is up to core.

The durability of lamianted flooring is not only up to by abraion restistance, it also is related to impact resitance, height difference, swelling rate, bend resistance, dimension stability and other factors. Core is the key factor for the these parameters. Also the quality of core affects the installation. The lock system was broken upon installation in case of bad core. Split is easy difficult to happen in case of high quality core.

Then how to check the quality of core? Below are some mothod to check it:

1. Smell
Good quality offer fresh wood smell. Some bad quality core gives irritative smell.

2. Fiber.
The fiber of high quality core looks even and compact. Its color is natural wooden. For bad quality core, its fiber is loose. Sheet matter often can be found in the fiber. Even black or brown spot appears. Its color is often darker.

3. Weight
Gooo quality core is heavier than bad one in case of same dimension.
