 Hello, We live in Michigan about 1/2 hr from downtown Detroit in Garden City. We finally got permission to start rebuilding our 1910 farmhouse that had a fire last Aug. The city however is requiring us to provide 3D floor plans for them before we can start to pull permits, can anyone help with the drawings for free please let us know.

If you want it free throw it out there and see if you get any takers if i have free time i will give it a shot as 3d modeling is one of my passions.

A) You either misunderstood or the city is nuts. You should not need 3D drawings.
B) You won't get what you need for a permit for free. It will be incomplet at best and incorrect at worst.
C) Why would anyone do it for free? Why should they?
The money you save on drawings will cost you many more times in construction and time wasted.
Hire a pro. Look up Paul Fritz Associates in Saint Clair Shores. |

| Assuming you had home insurance and the fire was covered by insurance, there are contractors who specialize in fire repairs. They are also expert in working with insurance companies to get paid. You should require them to provide all necessary drawings and to apply, pay, and obtain all permits required for the reconstruction. This is typically how it is done. |
