Workshop:
URBAN SPACES "BETWEEN"
Concept design of urban public spaces located "between" Schools and Public Buildings in Sale Marasino, Iseo Lake, Italy
Date: 12th to 17th March 2006.
The deadline for final registration will be : 25th February 2006.
N. 5 persons maximum.

It 's a 6 Day Workshop, open to students, graduates, postgraduates in Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Design, Urban Geography.

Workshop fees: no fees.

Objectives:
The spaces between public buildings are fundamental for a correct urban design.
The goal of this workshop is to make a "concept", a special urban and architectural definition of this spaces in a little context, between the lake waterfront and a local railway station; We must create a new architectural and urban vision of this place. Sketches, maquettes, 3D virtual models are necessary for create a better and dynamic new spaces.

Dipartimento di Architettura e Pianificazione - Politecnico di Milano;
Ente Morale Asilo Infantile di Sale Marasino.
Scientific/didactic referee: Prof. Fabrizio Zanni - Politecnico di Milano;

General informations:
The workshop will be held at "Asilo Infantile" building (ancient School). This building is located in the centre of Sale Marasino. Sites of touristic interest like Parrocchiale Church,Disciplini Church, Palazzo Martinengo ... are within walking distance.Vineyards and castles of "Franciacorta": 10 kilometres; "Monte Isola" island: 5 min.
Activities: sailing, paragliding, paragliding flight school, trekking.

Location:
Sale Marasino is a traditional lakeside village in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. (3176 inhabitants) in close proximity to Iseo Lake, near Brescia, Northern Italy, 100 km from Milan (100 km from Linate Airport; 50 from Orio al Serio Int. Airport, 30 from Montichiari Airport).
