Putin of Russia clearly stated how he viewed American aggression at an international meeting in Munich recently.

Now the leaders of Russia, China and India are meeting in what looks like the beginnings of an alliance.

Senior legislators in America are talking openly about Bush not having the legal right to launch an attack on Iran. The same lies, the same posturing, the same threats, the same deranged racism are being levelled at Iran as were levelled at Iraq.

So if Bush cannot "legally" attack Iran, how does he intend to do it ? He can either simply launch an attack and ignore trivia like legality. He can assist another 9.11 (whether or not he helped the last one is becoming irrelevant) - a new one would give him what he wants; or he can arrange for Israel to attack Iran and drag America in by that route.

However we all know that Bush and his cronies lied America into the mess of Iraq and to pretend that he is not capable of doing it again is delusional.

At the latest, America will attack Iran by next Spring (2008). If it happens much earlier, then it is already too late.

Apparently the leaders of three great nations do not believe that Americans will get the freak out of the White House in time - and sadly I agree with them.

An assurance from Bush is no better than an assurance of definitely his "last territorial claim" from Hitler.

How does one act, beyond what we have already done?

We have Fox News talk show hosts calling themselves "Great Americans", while daily slamming Iran and calling for war, then calling fellow American dissenters "traitors", and "wishing for failure and defeat", and "putting our troops in harms way"!!!

These war-pig, arm-chair rabid bas***ds want MORE intervention!

Dialogue seems to be working for North Korea, without a single extra American soldier/sailor/marine being deployed.

Why not Iran-Iraq?

PS...my all time hero, John McCain, he could have prevented this. Joe Lieberman, he could have prevented this. Hillary Clinton, she could have done, and STILL can do soooooo much more. Silence and complicity has gotten us this deep into this hole, it is not all Bush's gang doing the damage. Democrats and Republicans, it is ALL their fault, make no mistake. What the HELL are THEY going to do about it?

The beauty of it all, though, is in this latest hour, 17 Republicans stood with the Democrats in denouncing the troop surge. That is a start. But by itself, it is not good enough.

Know thy friends, know thy enemies better! Win the peace! Win the cultural future!!!! Stop the military confrontation! We are not the worlds policemen. Start the dialogue.

Restore America, or risk losing America!!!

Two things...

All of Fox News is not bad...I hear good voices of reason within there too.

Two persons, maybe three, maybe five....I hear you, do not want to embarrass you by mentioning your names...Stand up for common sense.

My Presidential choice...best man in America...owes nothing to nobody...Arnold Schwarzenneger...yes, a Republican. says what he means, means what he says...they ought to change the law to allow this giant, this Austrian Oak to run ...after 20 years residency...he could become eligible to become President of the United States.

instead of the extra troops, Bush sent Condi Rice to Iraq.

an amazing range of anti-American protests (some of very considerable scale) have been happening in recent days around the world, objecting to US bases.

this is a view of the current state of play from Britain's New Statesman magazine, and it does not make for amusing reading.
