3-strip means the color of one plank of laminate flooring is in 3 strips in attitude of short side. It makes one floor plank looks like many samller planks work togher without the gap from the locking system. Each color pattern on the “smaller plank” is different. And its look is quite different from 1-strip color. It looks more fine. But the decorative layer with 3-strip is usually cut radomly during produciton. There will be many too short “smaller planks” with different color patterns on the end of long side of plank which makes the too short “smaller planks” looks like some patches of the color. It will affect the look of laminate flooring. 3-strip is one of the most popular designs. The suitable lamiate size for 3-strip is 1214*194*8.3mm due to the width of the strip. Oak, cherry, walnut, teak, applewood, maple, Mahogany, etc. look nice with 3-strip.
