I'm transforming over to Pcadd 8 from 7 and I notice that there is no status window to change scale on the drawing. Do I have to go to drawing set up or is there another window?
Special Ed

Unfortunately you have to now always go to Drawing Setup to change the scale. A recent update at least now displays the scale in the menu bar, but it would be nice if there were a drop down menu to change the drawing scale as in v7.

I've found the best way to handle scales is set the drawing scale to what the bulk of the drawings is at (1/4" for the Plan sheets) then have separate layers for the text and details, set those layers to the desired scale (3/4").
This actually works well in that it is easy to scale the plan sheets for measuring, etc.
The only real 'humbug' is if you want different scales on one layer-say 1/4" elevations with some 3/4" details. Once you get used to using different layers for different scales it all works pretty good.

Before the status window, I had scales set to hot keys using QuicKeys. However I wonder if that would work in the current Drawing Setup. I don't see it quite as big a deal these days, but I might if I get v.8

There's a few other quirky things buy I'll have to use it a little more before I complain. One thing I notice is that when I dimension to the top or edge of a hole (circle) the grabhandles used to be on the top, bottom or sides. Now I can't select the true edge unless I get lucky. Maybe it's just a setting?
