Three quotes I found interesting...
1. Poll differences are closing between two candidates, or it will be a landslide for Obama...! (go figure)
2. "Do you realize how much time and money and effort Hillary has spent to try and disappear? Why would she do that?
3. Fox radio commercial... "Freedom or Socialism, that is the election" or something really stupid like that...
AND...
Anybody else feel uneasy about the timing of the cross border Syrian raid? For which the Iraqis have lowered the political boom on us?
Or more likely to me, maybe we had tacit approval for some absolute heros to take out some real despicable scum troublemakers, people who were trafficking in suicide bombers?! What government could tolerate these types... today they target one side of the border, tomorrow they bring the trouble to downtown Damascus. Just my opinion.
But still, curious timing. _________________ Ed Ziomek |

The polls seem to be all over the place, my guess is that some are underestimating Obamas get out the vote machine.
Clinton has been pretty active I just think she isn't getting that much press.
Republicans have been calling democrats socialist for the past 100 years. After eight years of the largest deficit and government expansion in the history of the US I suspect most people will not be fooled by this.
I think the raid was opportunistic and a coincidence. Your guess could be right.
These countries like Syria and Pakistan walk a fine line between cooperation, public opinion and sovereignty. _________________ Chris Stewart

"When I'm President we'll drill offshore and we'll drill now." John McCain about three minutes ago.
Dear John,
I respect you, I really really do. It's me, not you, so don't blame yourself. Your a good person and don't forget that. But I have to go now.

drill here drill now, wait 20 years for oil while everything gets so bad that oil will make little to no difference in the lives of anybody except the CEOs and other oil tycoons. _________________ The most necessary/useful piece of learning is that which unlearns what is untrue: 'evil'

I'm not willing to wait twenty years. Getting my National Geographic is depressing. So many blind people out there. _________________ n/a |

I was joking around with one of my hippy liberal friends and told her I voted for Nader, She flipped and started crying.
I use to pump Heavy D and da Boys through my pimp system until that song, then I went Public Enemy.
It's time for a new Reagan and I voted for him today. except green wars instead of star wars. I'm sticking to my bomb the desert to glass philosophy.

I don't know too much about the American electoral system, but I do remember Blazing Saddles.

Solent Green and Logan's Run .....
when one actually reads what the Neo-Cons want .... it gets seriously scary. When the freaks are away from the button, a lot of people will feel more confident.
what on earth is Powell doing talking of some major disaster on 21/22 January ? _________________ Richard Haut has worked with the architectural profession for over 25 years and produces the weekly Richard Haut's Competitions, which has given architects details of many thousands of projects for which they can apply across Britain and Europe. |

I've said before it's all about numbers for the NeoCons. Some of thier numbers make sense, some do not. I'm outta that clique.
Powell said what? any good Nostradamus like predictions? I have a few floating out there. _________________ n/a |

Powell, Albright and Biden (and maybe some others) have been predicting a cataclysmic event within a month of Obama becoming President - and Powell actually named a date. _________________ Richard Haut has worked with the architectural profession for over 25 years and produces the weekly Richard Haut's Competitions, which has given architects details of many thousands of projects for which they can apply across Britain and Europe. |

A lot of people seem to think something will happen around inauguration time. I suppose that al-Qaeda could do something to test the new president. (whoever he is)
Personally I don't see that as being very likely.
I suppose the Iraqi's who want the US to get out may also step up violence. _________________ Chris Stewart
