Senior Architect/Global Design Building – Seattle, WA

We are looking for a Senior Architect to join the Global Design Team. This position requires talented design leaders interested in driving the creation of sustainable design concepts from ideation to execution globally. The successful candidate is a passionate, driven designer who is motivated to develop unique concepts that reinforce the corporate brand’s position.

The Senior Architect needs to possess a strong understanding and interest in issues related to environmental sustainability within Retail Design; a Global, diverse, holistic design perspective; General Management Experience; Interest in global trend and its application to a lifestyle brand; and be self-managed, motivated, proactive, and passionate.

Position Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other key stakeholders to meet project objectives and develop execution for multiple design concepts.
• Create conceptual designs for new and existing buildings and drive to execution.
• Create unique and diverse interior concepts and specifications that meet stated business objectives, both operational and financial.
• Monitor design modifications and changes to ensure budget adherence.
• Stay abreast on trends in the field and be “in touch” with the market.
• Support the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote key messages and achieve a competitive advantage.

Position Experience Requirements
• Architectural or interior design (8-10 years)
• Collaboration with industrial, graphic design and environmental disciplines (8-10 years)
• Management of various design projects, operations and teams (5 years)
• Retail or restaurant design (8 years)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to communicate design concepts visually and through oral presentation
• Knowledge of interior materials and finishes
• Working knowledge of CAD drafting using Microstation or AutoCAD software
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
• Knowledge of building and health codes and other jurisdictional codes
• Licensed Architect
