I was going to make a bill of materials for a sketch and went to use the text grid and it's gone in 8.06 Is there something that replaces it or do I import a grid from Excel?

Search for Table Tool in the PCD8 manual and you'll see some good news. Then search for Advanced Text tool in PCD8 manual to see how to bring in an excel table
