Chris,
I got good results with a 72 dpi image.
You should get great results with a 300 dpi image.

Chris,
I e-seal my stuff w/ acrobat pro as well. Most counties in my state do not require an original. This saves me a huge amount of time as I can do everything electronically. The fact is that if someone wants your seal they can easily get it.
1) The protection in acrobat can be easily broken
2) Anyone can order any seal they wish online.
There are many other ways to easily forge someones' seal.
If your seal is stolen, I imagine you will eventually find out.
