Hi all
(I was a regular here a few years back, but have taken some time out from studies, back now though).
I'm trying to track down a copy of a well known image, and google isn't helping me out.
It's the image which shows the mythical origins of architecture - that the classical orders were believed, in the renaissance, to be derived directly from trees. I think the image is taken from a painting or something, it's quite commonly seen in lectures on architectural history, but I can't seem to find a copy. And in spite of having encountered it several times in the last few years, I can't remember what books it's used in.
Anyone know the image I mean?
Thanks.

| Yeah, I could, but it's for a report, not a studio project, so I'm looking to cite it as evidence of a POV. Not essential, but just would be nice. |
