Software Engineers

My client provides leading edge, end-to-end 2D and 3D visualisation solutions to a global market. They assist manufacturing companies to leverage their CAD (Computer Aided Design) data more effectively, and to communicate their technical information, complex support procedures and market products with unprecedented visual clarity. Their products and solutions make high-impact visual communication an affordable reality.

A. Software Engineers (SE) / Senior SEs
Overview:
To analyse, design and build business/technical solutions that deliver the Clients goals and provide them with maximum value. Competencies required include:
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ Object Oriented design techniques
- Good understanding of 3D concepts, and/or experience programming with 3D graphics
- A bonus would be any experience with CAD systems, solid modelling systems, surface definitions, Nurbs, Beziers and similar 3D graphics
- 2 to 5 years hands-on, commercial experience
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent


B. Stand-Alone Application SE / Senior SE
Overview:
This role is working with a stand-alone application to manage 2D, 3D, animation, video and audio assets residing on a computer or network. Requirements include what is listed in A above PLUS any combination of the following
- 3DSMax
- Maya
- XSI
- Lightwave
- Catia
- ProE
- UG
- SMLib
- OpenGL/DirectX


C. Graphical Re-Purposing SE / Senior SE
Overview:
This role is working with an enterprise server solution that offers automated graphical re-purposing. Requirements include what is listed in A above PLUS the following
- S.O.A.P
- XML
- SQL database


D. C++ GUI Software Engineer
Overview:
The main responsibility of this role is the implementation and development of user interfaces for a range of products. The successful applicant will be able to design best solutions within project constraints, as well as analyse the potential changes and the impact they will have on existing development. Competencies required are
- Experience in QT and other GUI tools
- Strong C++ programming skills and OO methodology
- Good understanding of GUI design principles
- An aptitude for problem solving
- Commercial experience with developing front-end GUI technology
- A bonus would be any experience with MFC and/or Win32

The remuneration packages will be largely dependent on what the successful candidates can bring to these roles. Depending on relevant depth of skills and experience, this may lie anywhere in the range between the upper $50ks and mid/upper $80ks.

This role is based in Auckland, New Zealand, but overseas applicants are encouraged to respond IF your technical skills and experience do in fact match up with the challenging criteria as noted above.
