Sorry, Donald, still the wrong Churchill, and you're still full of !#@$% for trying to hijack this conversation into that entirely separate different smear campaign you parrot.
Your re-post, though less blantantly reckless, is again deleted as being clearly off topic. |

Yes Riki, it is a great post you left for all to view, and the best we can get out of anyone is

I particularly enjoyed the proclamation made by Kennedy and this fine response by Churchill:
| Quote: | | I am, as you know, half American by blood, and the story of my association with that mighty and benevolent nation goes back nearly ninety years to the day of my Father's marriage. In this century of storm and tragedy I contemplate with high satisfaction the constant factor of the interwoven and upward progress of our peoples. Our comradeship and our brotherhood in war were unexampled. We stood together, and because of that fact the free world now stands. Nor has our partnership any exclusive nature: the Atlantic community is a dream that can well be fulfilled to the detriment of none and to the enduring benefit and honour of the great democracies. |
We stood together, and because of that fact the free world now stands. I hope GB still feels the same today.

"I hope GB still feels the same today."
Donald - Dubya has banned Camilla Parker-Bowles from the White House on the grounds that she is divorced.
(so presumably people from Henry the Eighth to Ronald Reagan would be equally unwelcome).
Blair is likely to be very alarmed because the backlash against America in Britain will be severe. Do the Brits like Camilla ? Whether they do or not is none of America's business - and they will side with her against America (seen in Britain as the home of divorce).
British soldiers serve "Queen and Country" - they do not serve the enemies of their Queen and her family, and within the military the feelings run far stronger.
Considering that Bush is on his way to Europe to "build bridges", his action can only be seen as one of profound stupidity (or else he is acting on the advice of people who hate him).

Of course W2 is making nice with the - dumb slur -...on his five-day trip across Europe, designed as a 'charm offensive' to put any disagreements in the past and improve relations with countries who opposed the war in Iraq. With Bush's trip, you can be certain of two things.
One, that the favor will not be returned...Camilla, Jacques or otherwise. Sure...those 'world leaders' as some refer to them, will receive Bush, be nice to him and even say nice things about him while he's there. But once he's gone, the anti-American hatred will pick up right where it left off. The attitudes of Europeans hasn't changed, and Europeans in overwhelming numbers want to see the role of the United States weakened in world affairs, and the role of the European Union strengthened. Simply put .. people who want you weakened are not your friends. |
