We have made it clear that speculation developement is no longer welcome nor will it be tolerated in eugene. The amazon headwaters is a very sensitive natural area, and I will do all I can to keep it in tact.Through my efforts the Wayne Morse Ranch became a city park, and I would like to see a city park at amazon headwaters too.
I'm sorry my plans put a dent in your financial desires,Mr.and Mrs. Beverly, maybe you should consider how short our lifespans are,and how long the oak trees in that area have lived in comparison. Those Oaks were around before Lewis and clark, maybe even before the pilgrims came to america! (est. age: approx 250-350 yrs.)
The Morse ranch was also slated for development, what a terrific loss that would have been if it had been developed and turned into condos.Citizen effort prevented that from happening, and maybe this summers protest and outcry will result in the same result at amazon headwaters,I'm hearing as long as the Beverlys get their MONEY they are willing to listen to the citizens.-Gourami
