Some projects already happening are: Community garden in Cottage Grove, A hot meal center in Oakridge, A farmer's market in Veneta. Let's Talk Food does not give money to the projects, but provides help in volunteer training, resource gathering, and keeping a group going in the lean times. If you are interested, or know of someone who might be, please give me a call at 343-2822 ext 322 so that we can add you to our mailing list. Thanks for reading and hope to see you at one of the meetings!
LET’S TALK FOOD!
You are invited to attend one of 3 community food forums being held in
Eugene this fall. We’ll talk about food quality & nutrition;
how it gets to us, and what choices we have for making our community more food secure. These forums will lead to the creation of groups dedicated to taking action on local food issues.
