Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) announced a Watershed Recovery Fee, approved by commissioners last week. The flat fee for all residential and commercial customers will fund critical projects such as reforestation in the McKenzie River valley. A typical residential customer will pay $3 per month for the next 60 months.
EWEB also described how two new tanks at the 40th and Patterson site fit into the city-wide Water Storage Improvement Projects at the March 9 Southeast Neighbors general meeting (starting about the 42 minute mark).
Presenters included:
- John Barofsky, EWEB Commissioner
- Laura Farthing, EWEB Senior Engineer and Project Manager
- Southeast Neighbor Jen Conners, EWEB Communications Specialist
