Friends of Tugman – April 2026 Report
The Friends of Tugman (aka The Tuggers) typically meet every other week somewhere in Tugman Park. We typically meet on Wednesdays and/or select weekend dates from 10:00 am – 12 noon. Exact time and park location is dependent on weather conditions and current project(s).
- We held (2) volunteer work events at Tugman Park in April: April 12th & April 29th (our April 1st event was cancelled due to inclement weather)
- April 12th highlights: weeded in the native planted beds in the central and northern sections of the park; limb debris mitigation; picked up trash park-wide
- April 29th highlights: weeded in the native planted beds in the central and northern sections of the park; dug and chopped blackberries in the north end; limb debris mitigation; picked up trash park-wide
- Several ad hoc volunteer endeavors occurred whereby additional weeding, string trimming of grasses, blackberry and ivy removal, limb debris mitigation, and dam removal along Tugman Creek occurred.
- Our regularly scheduled Wednesday and weekend volunteer work events for May & June 2026 are: Sat. 5/9 (10:00 am – 12 noon), Wed. 5/27 (10:00 am – 12 noon), Sun. 6/7 (10:00 am 12 noon), Wed. 6/24 (10:00 am – 12 noon)
