Friends of Tugman – January 2026 Report
The Friends of Tugman (aka The Tuggers) typically meet every other Wednesday from 10:00 am – 12 noon somewhere in Tugman Park. Exact time and park location is dependent on weather conditions and current project(s).
- We held (2) volunteer work events at Tugman Park in January: 1/10 & 1/21
- January 10th highlights: weeded primarily in the north end of the park; chopped and removed downed limb debris; picked up trash park-wide
- January 21st highlights: removed logs, limbs, and debris dams from Tugman Creek; chopped and dug blackberry vines in the north and south ends of the park; picked up trash park-wide
- On January 14th, a subset of the Tugger Team met with Kelsey Irvine (Volunteer Coordinator – P&OS) at Tugman to do a walk-through to discuss progress to date on projects underway and discuss future projects and ideas.
- Our regularly scheduled Wednesday volunteer work event for February 2026 is: 2/18 (10:00 am – 12 noon). Please note that we will NOT have an event on Wed. 2/4 due to travel conflicts with several team members.
