Friends of Tugman – March 2026 Report
The Friends of Tugman (aka The Tuggers) typically meet every other week somewhere in Tugman Park. We typically meet on Wednesdays and/or select weekend dates from 10:00 am – 12 noon. Exact time and park location is dependent on weather conditions and current project(s).
- We held (2) volunteer work events at Tugman Park in March: March 4th & March 15th
- March 4th highlights: weeded in the native planted beds in the central and northern sections of the park; trimmed grasses in the former spray play area; removed invasive cyclamen near Tugman Creek; removed and dispersed limb debris near the sand paly area; picked up trash park-wide
- March 15th highlights: weeded in the native planted beds park-wide; mitigated limb debris near the sand play area; picked up trash park-wide
- Several ad hoc volunteer endeavors occurred whereby additional weeding, blackberry removal, limb debris mitigation, and dam removal along Tugman Creek occurred.
- Our regularly scheduled Wednesday and weekend volunteer work events for April, May, & June 2026 are: Wed. 4/1 (10:00 am – 12 noon), Sun. 4/12 (10:00 am – 12 noon), Wed. 4/29 (10:00 am – 12 noon), Sat. 5/9 (10:00 am – 12 noon), Wed. 5/27 (10:00 am – 12 noon), Sun. 6/7 (10:00 am 12 noon), Wed. 6/24 (10:00 am – 12 noon)
