Friends of Tugman – November 2025 Report
The Friends of Tugman (aka The Tuggers) typically meet every other Wednesday from 10:00 am – 12 noon somewhere in Tugman Park. Exact time and park location is dependent on weather conditions and current project(s).
- We held (2) volunteer work events at Tugman Park in November: 11/9 & 11/12
- November 9th highlights: planted 1200 sq. ft. of recently uncovered ground in our north end Wet Meadow Restoration Project plot with native grasses, forbs, shrubs, and seeds provided from P&OS and private donations
- November 12th highlights: spread additional wood chip mulch in a future Wet Meadow Restoration Project section near the north bridge; weeded and planted in the basketball court bed; continued blackberry and other invasive plant removal from along the south border of the central park section; picked up trash park-wide
- The Coyote Kids afterschool program (Whole Earth Nature School) has started on Wednesday afternoons at Tugman Park. A porta-potty has been placed in the park near the driveway just off Hilyard St. This facility is locked and for the exclusive use of the afterschool program.
- Plans are underway for a Tugger end-of-year celebration to be held in late December. More details to follow.
- We have no scheduled volunteer work events planned for December 2025 due to travel and holiday conflicts. However, we may host ad hoc work events in December as needed.
